The UNLV Marching Band and UNLV Student Government have continued to develop a relationship that has been positively reciprocal as both bodies attempt to serve and represent all UNLV students. One of the most rewarding aspects of our partnership with CSUN is the precedent set by the 100-plus marching band members to support Student Government and other university entities in such activities as Premier UNLV, Fremont Street Football Kick-off Rally, selected university-related performances, and. Rebel Football pep rallies sponsored by CSUN and its related student organizations. This year a prototype of the cap will be made available by the NIKE corporation through Mr. Paul Pucciarelli (UNLV Athletics). The proposed quantity is 144 caps at $8.00 each. She went on to state that the last day of Elections the polls will be open from 8:00-7:00 and ballots would be counted from 7:00-9:00. She went on to state that the unofficial results would be posted that night. EXECUTIVE BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS AND S UMMATIONS PRESIDENT PECK stated that Ann Hein needs volunteers for the Student Development Center. She went on to state that the American Heart Walk is October 24th and she wanted to know if anyone wanted a CSUN team. She went on to state that the technology fee survey is up on the web page. VICE PRESIDENT CANEPA stated that she is working on the faculty excellence award, and there was one mess up on one of the plaques. She went on to state that the Judicial Council has two seats open and the Executive Board will be submitting the names to the next agenda. She went on to state that she is working on the conduct code for the Board of Regents. SENATE PRESIDENT FISK stated that Rules & Ethics did a professional job, and he understands that it is difficult to investigate someone you know. He went on to state Senator Davy and himself are working on the new senate packets. Kiss of the Spider Woman was a good play, and good luck to everyone. X. GOOD OF THE SENATE SENATOR MAIETTA stated that he concurs with Senator Anzalone. He went on to state that the just put out there news letter-running an efficient business-"it's your business". He went on to state that he does not agree with the Rebel Yell, and that student involvement was discredited and that makes him very upset. SENATOR VENTURA stated he will be leaving soon and that you will be hearing from him before he's gone. He went on to state good luck to those who are re-running. SENATOR CALLAHAN stated good luck to all of those who are running, and the leadership scholarship applications are due on October 15. SENATOR GREEN stated that it was not pretentious to write in third person. And that he would be attending the Campus Safety Meeting with President Peck SENATOR TURNER stated thank you for the caps for the Band and good luck to those running SENATOR MCLAUGHLIN stated the Rebel Yell graded her a D- and at the top of the list SENATOR BASTUNAS NO COMMENT SENATOR HAMBY stated that Rules and Ethics did a good job and good luck to everyone SENATOR QURESHI stated that the Rules and Ethics did a good job SENATOR M. MORADKHAN stated that there will be a newsletter next week and good job Rules and Ethics SENTATOR P. MORADKHAN stated thanks to those who have supported him SENATOR AUGUSTIN stated that he disagrees with the Rebel Yell. He went on to state that there are two weeks left and wants the gavel. And good luck to those running SENATOR KNAPP- stated that the Rebel Yell appreciated the tatatoos' SENATOR AYON stated Rules and Ethics did a great job and the were accurate and professional. He went on to state that he appreciated the approval of the World Games, and stated that by far this is the worst Rebel Yell he has ever seen. SENATOR FECTEAU stated that he liked the paper, and that he wanted a grade in the paper. He went on to state that he didn't drive to the football game and how much worse can we play. SENATOR BRINK stated good luck to everyone SENATE PRESIDENT PRO-TEMPORE DAVY stated that he wanted to welcome Aaron Clemens but he left. She then yielded the floor to Senator Knapp SENATOR KNAPP stated that he would like to congratulate the Engineering Department for their success- they won the human powered vehicle contest XI.
