SENATOR FISHER stated that he wished he had seen Senator Ricci. He thanked Kim Reed for vacating the B&E seat, as his life is not complete without his ulcer. He stated that as far as the articles are concerned, the only thing that he has a problem with is that he finds the word "censorship" offensive. He stated that its repeated use is offensive, and the definition of the word is actually 'the review of things for publication prior to publication' which the Publications Board does not do. He stated that he thinks that the Yellin' Rebel needs to find a different word. SENATOR BARKHUFF yielded the floor to GARY PUCKETT. SENATE PRESIDENT POLOVINA wished the candidates good luck, and stated that she hopes the best candidates come through the primary election intact. She stated that the members of the Elections Board are going to have a long night, and any Senators who wish to help are welcome. She stated that she doesn't know where the impression that the Yellin' Rebel is not allowed to use the cart came from. She stated that the cart is property of CSUN, and that there were never problems in the past. She stated that she will not go into the Yellin' Rebel situation, but that as far as the article about the rules goes, she knows a great deal about the Rules Committee as she created it, and that the former Senator Kannenburg was not the first to go before it, but rather the second. She stated that Kannenburg is the first to go before Chair Bunin, and that she sat through the meeting, which was conducted fairly. She stated that it was basically the ideal meeting. She stated that she received the impression that Kyle Kannenburg was "forced out" when she read the article, due to the fact that he signed the article/complaint about the GPA, but that in truth, that is not so. She stated that the situation had nothing to do with it, that he was brought before the committee due to the fact that he had failed to complete the requirements involved with being a Senator. She stated that she is planning to write a letter to the editor, as she feels that the students are possibly being misinformed. She stated that Student Government does nothing to actively try and deceive students. SENATOR FIELD stated that in effect, the article seemed to stated that the Senate was in mutiny against Senator Kannenburg, but that it is not the case. SENATOR ROTH showed a sketch for "CSUN MAN".
