The now legendary “Silver Tower,” <br> as it was also known, was built in 1582, at the time of King Henry III, <br> during an era of grandeur. Forks were being introduced for the first time! <br> Suddenly, it became impolite to eat with the fingers. <br> <br> <br> The romantic 16th and 17th century was the era of succulent pressed duck. <br> In those days, the Royal Family ordered the bastille cannons to help the <br> rebels ; the Lords were dueling at the Bridge La Tournelle… it was <br> fashionable then to “reserve a table” to the rhythm of the minuet <br> and the gavotte.
