Biographical / Historical Note
Tom Mead was born on August 31, 1890 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Elwood Mead and Lucille Johnson. His father, Elwood, served on the United States Bureau of Reclamation and organized substantial projects, including the building of the Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam). Mead died in Springville, Utah on March 10, 1983.
