Darwin, Calif., May 20, 1918. Mr. R. T. Walker, Nelson, Clark Co., Nevada.Dear Mr. WalkerIs there any vacancy at your propertythat I could fill, or do you know of any elsewhere ?Have been with the Darwin Lead & Silver Mines & Development Corp. since Jan. 1916. My work has been fire assaying of lead and silver ores with some gold, wet assays for lead, copper, zinc, and iron. Have cut over 4000 samples at the various properties of the company and assayed a great many more taken by others, diamond dri11 samples and mill samples of heads, tails and oil concentrates. Have done some outside work also. Had over 3 weeks with Mr. F. R. Weekes last summer as assistant on the examination of some copper properties south of Tucson Ariz. Did much of the sampling and all the copper assaying. Have had surveying experience both surface and underground including shaft work with top telescope and plumbing. The company has changed hands. They shut down for a time and are now doing development work. Theassaying is very light and I am handling the warehouse. keeping account of all material received and issued and issued andmaking monthly distribution and report of same. Have just finished priceing an inventory that was difficult because so many of the bills are gone and prices have changed greatly recently.
