The regular meeting of the Goldfield Womans Club was held Nov. 23, 1922 with the President Mrs. Sprague in the chair.The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.The treasurer reported a balance of $19.85 in bank, it was moved and seconded that by report be accepted. The roll was called with thirteen members responding.The president announced that the Board of Directors had voted to have a rummage sale in one of the rooms of the High School. Mrs. Aspland to be chairman. All were asked to contribute. The sale to be held Nov. 27 from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. also on the following Wednesday.A motion was made and seconded that we send to Mrs. Norton and have the Japanese prints sent to us for the second Thursday in January.There being no other business the President called for Current Events the following ladies contributing very interesting numbers, Mrs. Barnes, Howland, Foster and Moon.The meeting was then turned over to Mrs. Moon who gave us a very pleasant program. The following numbers being given William Koontz - The origin of Thanksgiving [Artes?] Loab Piano SoloRecitation Mabel KendallPiano Solo Mrs. FosterA Drama by [Artes?] Loab[Sonny?] McCandless How a turkey gobblesPaper Mrs. MoonRecitation Leata Detweiler [i.e., Detwiler] who afterward passed to all present a basket of lively candy and Ollie Detweiler [i.e., Detwiler] followed with a recipe for the same.Mrs. Sprague then resumed the chair and stories of Thanksgiving were told by Mrs. Howland and Mrs. Sprague.Mrs. Howland to have charge of the next meeting. After which we had community singing
