Mills gave a very interesting paper on "Prohibition after two years."Mrs. Walter Scott gave a delightful account of the trip across the country[?] with Mr. Scott in which they made the distance from L.A. to Chicago in forty-five hours, the fastest time ever made.The current events were called for and the following members contributed Mrs. McNair, Barnes, Howland, Moon, Scott, and Sprague.It was moved and seconded that the President write a letter to Mr. Thomas A. Edison and ask permission to start a movement to endow a memorial to him.After a verse of America the club and adjourned to meet March 23Christine Hillebert Sec.ApprovedThe regular meeting of the Goldfield Woman's Club was held at the home of the Club March 23 with fifteen members and three guests present.The meeting was called to order by the President Mrs. Sprague. The Roll called and the minutes of the previous meeting read and approved. The treasurer reported a balance of $28.35 in the bank.The Secretary of the Board of Directors gave her report. Mrs. Ruby Fitzgerald's name was brought before the board for reinstatement to membership.Mrs. J.B. Kendall to be chairman of the committee for the Eubank[?] dinner.
