    Feb. 23, 1922The regular meeting of the Goldfield Woman's Club took place at the Club House Feb. 23 eleven members being present.The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Sprague the president the roll was called, the minutes of the previous meeting read and approved.The treasurer gave her report as follows $19.30 balance Feb. 9 $45.15 deposited making a total of $64.45; bills amounting to $11.35 paid leaving balance of $53.10 plus $5.00 membership fees making total of $58.10 treasurer's report accepted.A report was made by Mrs. Mills secretary of the directorsThe president reported seeing the bank in regard to insurance which will be $12.25 to be paid also bill at Tribune.Mrs. McCandless, Mrs. Scott Mrs. Salsbury and Mrs. Moon's names were read for the second time and three new names Mrs. Merrill, Mrs. Rebard and Mrs. Lang read for first time.It was moved and seconded that no new members be taken in until the end of the year.The Club House to be cleaned varnished and floor painted before April night meeting; secretary of directors to [following quote crossed out in original text] "appoint four hostesses for April also" A party of Club members and families.It was moved and seconded that a telegram of condolence be sent to J. G. Church Jr. on death of mother.Current events were called for. Mrs. Barnes spoke on Colo. river project.Mrs. Howland on the Club.Mrs. McNair on Woman's Club.Mrs. Foster on the fact that less food was consumed last year than any other year.
