April 22The Shakespeare section met Monday, April 22nd at the home of Mrs. McCormack, 17 answering to the roll call.the 4th and 5th acts of Antony and Cleopatra were read and discussed. Mrs. Allen read the love poem by Gen'l. [William Haines] Lytle on Antony and Cleopatra, which was followed by a paper on the "Levels[?] of the Drama", read by Mrs. O'Brien.It was decided to review Antony and Cleopatra for the last meeting of the month.April 29 - The Shakespeare section met Monday April 29 at the home of Mrs. McCormack. 13 answering to the roll call.Antony and Cleopatra was reviewed and discussed. The section was invited to meet with the Misses Pyne for the month of May with Mrs. Allan as leader.The section was invited to meet with Mrs. McNaughton, Thursday afternoon. May 22nd from 2 to 4. -May - 6 -The Shakespeare section met Monday May 6 at the home of Miss Pyne - 10 members being present.The first act of Hamlet and the 2nd act to the 2nd scene was read and discussed.May - 13 -The Shakespeare section met Monday May 13th at the home of Miss Pyne, 17 members being present.The 2nd act of Hamlet was read beginning with the 2nd scene reading to Act 3rd scene 2nd where the players enter.It was decided that Macbeth, 12th Night, and King Lear should be the first three plays taken up next year.The section then adjourned to meet with Mrs. Allan Monday the 20th at 1.45.
