    Article 8.Suspension of By-Laws. These By-Laws may be suspended for not more than one meeting by a two thirds majority vote of members present, provided that no suspensions shall be permitted for the purpose of electing officers. Article 9.Amendments. These By-Laws may be amended at any regular meeting of the club by a two thirds vote of the members present, notice of intention to amend having been read by the secretary at the previous meeting. Article 10.Flower, Color, Motto and Pledge. Sec 1.The Flower of the club shall be the Joshua Palm. Sec 2.The colors of the club shall be green and yellow with a tracing of red. The green symbolical of the sage brush the yellow of our gold and the tracing of red of our wild geranium. Sec 3.The motto of the club shall be in essentials unity,in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity. Sec 4.The pledge of every member of this club shall be : Beleiving in the principles and objects of the Goldfield Womans Club, I pledge myself to sustain its works to defend its members from calumny, to guard the reputation of the club and to remain a member so long as I can be use ful or receive benefits from it. Artic1e 11.The proceedings of this club shall be governed by the rules laid down in the Emma A,Fox manual in all cases not provided for in this Constitution and By-Laws.Typed by
