    Sec 6.The auditor shall examine the books of the treasurer and presenther report at the first meeting in January and the last meeting in April. Sec 7.The secretary shall notify accepted applicants of their electinto membership.Notify all officers of their election and committees of their appointments. She shall carry on all the correspondence of the club except that undertaken by the president. Sec 8.The Board of Directors shall have general charge,control and management of the property of the club and shall attend to the paying of insurance and other charges against such property and shall have general management of the financial and other business of the club carrying out the same in accordance with the sentiment and expressed policy of the club as nearly as it may be ascertained. They shall have power to fill a vac ancy in their own body from the members of the club and shall [appoint] committees as the necessities of the club demand. Two members and the president of this board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. Article 3.Election to Membership. Sec 1.Application for membership must be made to the Board of Directors through an active member and endorsed by two members in good standing. The application shall be acted upon provisionally by the Board and three negatives shall reject. If the name has been approved by the Board it shall be annouced to the club in the minutes of the Board and shall he posted on the [bulletin] board of the club for one month. Any member who beleives that the applicant will make an undesirable member shall file with or present objections to the Board. The Board shall then consider the name a second time and three negatives votes shall defeat an application.Sec 2.No one shall propose more than three names during the clubyear.
