By Virtue of an Act of Congress approved May 10th 1872 we the undersigned this Day Locate and claim 1500 Linear feet on this Lead Lode of Ledge of mineral Bearing quarts Running in a Easterly and westerly Direction this mine is situated about 3 miles west of the Colorado River and 1 ½ mile South of the Colton Wash and 3 miles South East of the morning Star mine and is Located as follows commencing at central monument in which this notice is posted running in a Easterly Direction 750 Linear feet then 750 linear feet in a westerly direction from said central monument also claiming 300 linear feet on each Side of the Ledge with all Dips Spurs and angles pertaining there to this mine is the Western extension of the Silver King and will be Known as the Highland Chief mine Located Dec 27th 1880 in El Dorado Mining District
