    California Mine 
    we the undersigned do hereby Located and claim fifteen hundred feet for mining purposes on this Lead Lode as Ledge as Deposit of Silver Bearing Rock and ore to be Known and described as the California Mine commencing at the monument upon which this notice is placed and running in a Easterly Direction seven hundred and fifty feet also in a westerly direction seven hundred and fifty feet
    On and along said LEad Lode as Ledge as deposit of Silver Bearing Rock and ore and including three hundred feet on each side thus of for mining and working purposes we claim and intend to hold and work said claim and mining ground in accordance with the mining Laws of the United States approved May 10th 1872 and in accordance with the mining Laws of El Dorado Mining District Lincoln County State of Nevada
    Said mine is situated about six hundred feet south of the Black Jack Mine & running parallel with the same between the El Dorado & [not legible] Roads
