Abstract
Papers are comprised of newspaper clippings, photographs, and ephemera collected by Rochelle Hornsby about her life in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 1970s and 1980s and her involvement with Temple Beth Sholom. The papers include information about Temple Beth Sholom productions and plays as well as Hornsby's involvement with local sport leagues.

Papers are comprised of photographs, newspaper clippings, and ephemera documenting Rochelle Hornsby's life in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1970 to 1986 focusing specifically on her involvement with Temple Beth Sholom. The documentation provides insight into women's activities with Temple Beth Sholom including: planning Israel Independence Day 1973, Purim plays, Sisterhood fashion shows, the Las Vegas Belly Dancing Convention, and various plays and productions held at Temple Beth Sholom. The papers also provide information on bowling and tennis competitions that Hornsby was a part of during the 1970s and 1980s in Las Vegas.

Biographical / Historical Note
Rochelle Hornsby, a Las Vegas, Nevada resident for over fifty years, was born in New York City, New York on March 12, 1937. She moved with her then husband Len Hornsby to Las Vegas in 1962 when Len took a position with a local radio station. Eventually Len would work as an executive for the Las Vegas Convention Authority for twelve years. Rochelle worked for many years doing promotional sales for conventions before she became a residential real estate agent, a job she has held for over twenty years. Rochelle was involved with Temple Beth Sholom in Las Vegas and was a member of the Temple Beth Sholom Sisterhood where she was involved with planning Israel Independence Day celebrations, Purim plays, fashion shows, and various other plays and productions.
