Included are clippings, correspondence, fliers, and memoranda that document Athanasoglou’s struggle to organize taxi drivers into a union in Las Vegas.

Biographical / Historical Note
Michael Athanasoglou fought to unionize taxicab drivers and to restructure the Taxi Cab Drivers Administration Authority Charter in Las Vegas, Nevada throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s. Through his efforts, he brought the poor treatment of drivers to the attention of media outlets and Nevada state politicians, including Governor Richard Bryan.
