Jack Tell

Jack Tell was the co-founder, editor, and publisher of the Las Vegas Israelite, an English-language Jewish newspaper in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tell married Beatrice Goldstein in 1936, while he was a New York Times photo editor. The family moved to Nevada in 1961 and bought the Territorial Enterprise, a Virginia City, Nevada newspaper. The next year they moved to Las Vegas, where Tell worked as a court reporter for the Las Vegas Sun and as editor and advertising salesman for the Nevada Jewish Chronicle before he founded the Las Vegas Israelite with his wife in 1965. When Jack Tell died in 1979 his son Michael Tell took over as co-publisher of the Israelite.
