Biographical / Historical Note
Author and director of the Nevada State Museum, Dennis McBride was born and raised in Boulder City, Nevada. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He is well-known as an expert in the history of Hoover Dam and has written several histories of Boulder City. He has chronicled and collected the history of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community in Las Vegas, Nevada since the late 1970s. His work culminated in the book
