Water Supply furnished by Railroad Company: Las Vegas, March 25th, 1938. S 23-3-3 Mr. J. P. Mack, Division Engineer, Los Angeles, Cal. Dear Sir: Inspection of grounds around springs, wells and settling basin this morning develops the fact that some miscreant has broken the vane and vent off the housing around the Big Spring, leaving a large hole gaping in the roof. I suppose this depredation was done, as in past years, by boys trying to get in there to go swimming, and prompt repairs should be made be-fore the supply of water from this source is polluted.
