Las Vegas - July 8, 1943 W 18-1-12 Mr. Leo A. McNamee: Referring to my letter May 26th to Nr. Strong and his of May 30th, copy to you, concerning new lease in favor of W. T. Stewart on the Las Vegas Ranch. In accordance with our recent discussion we have arranged to set a Weir Board on the east side of Fifth Street to determine the amount of water now being delivered to the ranch from Las Vegas Creek. However, in further conference with Mr. Strong this morning, he feels that we should omit any reference to the amount of water that will be delivered, merely providing that Mr. Stewart may cancel the lease on six-month's notice. Please, therefore, proceed with drawing up the lease similar to the previous one in effect, omitting however, any reference to the amount of water to be delivered. cc - Mr. Frank Strong WALTER R.
