Bennett ^ Supplementing my mailgram last night on meeting with City Commissioners concerning proposed abrogation of the present sprinkling restrictions. fhe meeting oalled for 3 P*M, was attended Tagr about 75 people. Mayor Cragin asked me to introduce the discussion and $ explained to those assembled tuestion of cancelling the ordinance had come up for eel el on and the Commissioners wished to hare some expression from the people theme elves. ? X pointed out that although there was some inconvenience by reason of low pressures between 6 t.Jf, and 8 P.M., this was more thin offset by the advantage'of fire protection and adequate pressures in the business district; however, the Water Company was reedy to do anything the people wished and the decision would be up to the Commissioners. Commissioner Bunker thin read a prepared statement, a portion outlined in attached clipping, but ending up with the suggestion that the City purchase the utility and that a Committee be appointed to recommend new hours of sprinkling, this was done and the following were selected* Fred Fine - Builder J. F. Hassett * Sub-Divider Mrs. H. Graven e - Housewife Otto Underhill - Water Hist. Harry Miller ~ Water Hist. Thereafter the meeting adjourned and the Committee will recommend new hours to the City Commissioners. A, M. Folgi
