In the stiff competition of Las Vegas, this in itself was almost a miracle, getting Frank Sinatra ?╟÷ Danny Thomas ?╟÷- Billy Eckstine ?╟÷ Vic Damone ?╟÷* Jimmy McHugh ?╟÷ Billy Gray, Fatty Moore and Ben Lossy, to each perform one night of the celebration. Danny Thomas was signed by Jack Entratter to open The Sands in December 1952 ?√ß*?╟≤**??*?? but also invited to attend were stars like Jimmy Durante, the Rita Brothers, Jane Powell, Ray Anthony, Frankie Lalne, Denise Darcel, Ursula Theiss, Terry Moore. Milton Berle*s only nightclub engagement in the past 10 years was for Entratter at The Sands, and he works there annually for three weeks, bringing in his entire TV show, often rehearsing new techniques for his Fall TV programs, right on The Sands stage* The booking scoop of the year fell to BEVERLY HILLS, CAL. ?╟≤ 449 SOUTH BEVERLY DRIVE ?╟≤ CRESTVIEW 6-4326
