oiree opens i Casino Royale Jerry Jackson's production 'Soiree' which recently opened in the new 'Casino Royale' of the Bahamas Princess Resort and Casino is undoubtedly the most elegant, colourful and vibrant show ever to be staged in The Bahamas, "Jerry Jackson took our newly renovated 'Casino Royale' showroom and made it come alive with excitement, colour and panache/' says Henry Zabatta, Regional Vice President of Bahamas Princess Resort and Casino. Jackson is producer, director and choreographer of the revue. He has been the director of the Folies Bergere in Las Vegas since 1975. In 1967 he choreographed the 100th Anniversary of the Paris Folies-Bergere, and in 1976, he directed and choreographed the "Casino du Paris" in Paris. In addition, he has choreographed and directed stars such as Sergio Franchi, Goldie Hawn and Juliet Prowse. He has choreographed television shows including the "25th Anniversary of Walt Disney" a two hour NBC special and the "Tony Orlando and Dawn" Show for CBS, HAVING A PARTY Entitled 'Soiree' French for 'Having a Party', the show is an evening of spectacular entertain-' ment. Jackson has orchestrated a fantastic troupe of performers, complete with lavish and colourful costuming, extravagant sceneries, lighting and exciting music. The show a French Revue, has as one of its sections a 'Salute to Dance.* The dances incorporate colourful and musically exciting ren Prions of punk, swing, rock n'roll. gospel the Charleston strip tease, ballet and Bahamian junkanoo. Another exciting segment of the programme is the 'Sadie Thompson' story a bewitching temptation tale, filled with drama. The fast-paced show which opens with the latest high energy, ends with a finale of extraordinary grand "can-can" incorporating acrobatics. Principals in the cast are the superb adagio team of Kathy and James Taylor, This unique couple, were the recent winners of the popular television talent competition "Star Search," Lead male singer is Bill Garbette and lead female singer is Laura Pearson, both definitely 'star quality." The other members of the dance troupe, including several Bahamians, are commendable for their stage presence, pizazz and agility. ARGENTINAS GAUCHOS The show also features "Frizzy" Le Juggler Unique and Los PamPas, Argentina's most exciting gauchos. The impressive production team for the revue includes screnery designer Charles Lisanby, winner of eight Emmy Awards for his television work and Bob Kiernan lighting director^ who will be responsible for the upcoming Republican Convention. Casino Royale is located in the Princess Casino of the Bahamas Princess Resort and Casino complex, which includes a spacious country club and a 10-storey tower. The Princess Country Club includes 98 vacation ownership units, a pair of 18-hole golf courses a dozen tennis courts, two swimming pools, a Jacuzzi and a nearby beach club.
