Mr• Prank Strong Page #2 November 2, 1945 not be used for Irrigation purposes and that so far as domestic use is concerned we would have to ascertain the Railroad’s policy inasmuch as this would be a Railroad line intended to yds!iver Water to L. L. & W. Co. at Main Street. Mayor Cragin who is completing a house on West Charleston asked m e t h i s f morning about a connection from this line and we have received numerous other requests from parties who have only a trickle of water from shallow wells and in some cases have to haul their water in buckets. I assume no deliveries could be made from the 2 4 ” line enroute, except on a wholesale basis through meter service. However, if the meter is to be placed just below the reservoir I assume the distribution of water from the 24” line would be handled by L.V.L.& W. Co. on a flat rate basis..:;..." $ ? v . : J | | . I a m writing you at this time because a number of people on West Charleston who had planned to recondition existing wells or possibly build new ones would refrain from doing so if there is a probability that they could secure water from the 24” line for domestic use.
