    (12) story if I failed to 1 r s in the show ' s Due to a mix- up .st your favorite One of the biggest blunders in the show's history just recently happened last year. Due to a mix-up in communications, the rain doors suddenly closed as the Right Waterfall was running. Approximately 1,000 gallons of water flooded the right side of the pit area. One woman in a fur coat was seen totally drenched and was dumping water out of her purse. Not one of the highlights in the show's history! * Before the show op buildfjng were stil and' "critters" ent taken up residence show opened. On an [appearance during out from under "B" like a good showma perch. He seemed t ened in 1978, many of the doors to the 1 unfinished and numerous birds, animals, ered the Theatre. A flock of pigeons had in the Gazebo, but were chased before the otiler occasion, we had an unexpected guest one of the early shows. A 'bat" came flying elevator during the Waterfall scene and n, circled the audience and returned to his o enjoy the screams and laughter. * Did you know that an actual wedding took place onstage? Bob Keefer and his wife had exchanged their wedding vows on the Gazebo with a Park scene setting one night between shows... .........Sadhj i caught the bridal bouquet! * Members of the Cast that are still here, will never forget the time that "Solomon" (the original Lion) urinated into the screen on his cage atop of the Calliope and sprayed the Cast that was onstage during the Finale. * Another of the great "blunde to a mechanical failure. We ain and the Main came in dur stopped about 2 feet off the the audience to see the ankl crew was frantically trying had to continue performing w The problem finally was corr just in time for most of the rs" in the show's history was due lost the clutch on the Main Curt-ing the Opening of the show. It deck and was just high enough for es and calves of the Cast. As the to correct the problem, the Cast ith ' their ankles and calves". ected during San Francisco...... audience to return to their seats! Some of the more memorable moments in the show's history came when some of the "temporaries" were sent onstage to clean up after the horses. One couldn't get it all on the shovel..... so he picked it up with his hands. Another shoveled it into the audience......and who could forget Jimmy Mack when he did his own choreography as he danced around the broom, while cleaning the stage during the Finale. Then there was the night that the Stage [Left Sidestage Main Curtain wouldn't go out and three of our female Singers couldn't reach the Sidestage because of the Main Curtain........ so they crawled under it!
