Within a reasonable time after the completion of the work to be performed under this contract and acceptance by the Land Company, the Land Company agrees to pay Contractor, upon presentation of lnvoioe in triplicate ninety per cent (90$) of the compensation herein provided. The ten percent (10#) retained may be paid to Contractor by Land Company immediately or at the option of the Land Company may be retained until the time allowed by law for the filing of liens upon or against said work shall have expired and until all liens filed upon or against the work shall have been fully discharged by the Contractor.
