June 7 , 1952 *t01 South Second Street Las Vegas, Nevada Mr. 0. W. Shelley City Manager City Hall Las Vegas , Nevada Dear Mr. Shelleys Referring to your letter of May 29 concerning oomplaints from residents In the 600 block between loth and 11th Streets. We have had several complaints# all of which have been from a Mrs. IJams, 605 South loth Street. We have taken several samples of water from her residence for analyst and in each instance the laboratory reports failed to disclose any foreign matter In the samples. Recently we were furnished a sample of water from the same residence which we have forwarded to Los Angeles for analysis • We have oanv&ssed residents adjacent to Mrs. IJams residence but have found no one who has had similar trouble. For the past ten years all lines have been laid with cement Joints and we do not use oil in our installations Confirming our phone conversation we are continuing our investigation and as soon as cause of the complaint has been ascertained I will advise you. Yours truly, W. H. Johnson
