I agree.ACT II II-l-l (Rev. 3/6/82) Scene 1 THE TOWN, LATE AT NIGHT This scene is a series of limbo scenes as we watch each of the BROTHERS capture his sweetheart. There is music under the entire scene. ADAM is gathered with all of the BROTHERS downstage right. BROTHERS (ad libbing) (The BROTHERS talk about where their girls live and what they're going to do. It's a jumble of loud talk.) ADAM Now hesh up. (The BROTHERS stop talking) Do you want to wake up the whole town? Now you boys all know where your girls live, right? BROTHERS (ad libbing) Right, Adam Sure enough, etc., etc. ADAM Quiet'1... now no lollygaggin' . The wagon's leavin' in one hour with or without ya. Now remember... we gotta keep 'em quiet go in' through the pass. One sound might start an avalanche. 'member the winter I cussed my horse too loud and we wuz snowed in 'til spring? (The BROTHERS, loudly, vocally respond to their recollection. 'ADAM smacks the closest brother) ADAM (contd.) Quiet! (Softly) Allright, now, go and get 'em. (The BROTHERS all yell enthusiastically. ADAM does an exasperated take.) SETTING: AT RISE: BLACKOUT
