Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried it was resolved that the plans submitted by Engineer A. P. Slocum for drains in connection with the pavement and curb improvements to be constructed in this city in accordance with Ordinance #131, constitute an addition to the plans and specifications for said improvements and that the Mayor be authorized and directed, and he is hereby authorized and directed to approve such plans for drains, and the Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest the same. No further business appearing, it was ordered, upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, that this meeting adjourn. OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. At a regular recessed meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, held on the 3rd day of January, 1929, at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. PRESENT: His Honor the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Commissioners O. J. Smith, W. B. Mundy and W. C. German, together with City Attorney, Clerk and Engineer for the City. ABSENT: Commissioner Roy Neagle. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Owing to the absence of Police & Fire Commissioner, Roy Neagle, Commissioner Mundy was appointed by His Honor the Mayor to audit Police and Fire Department bills. All claims allowed as shown by Claims and Warrants Register on file in the office of the Clerk. The Clerk presented to the Board the application of A. T. McCarter for a license for the operation of three gaming tables; the fee of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) having been paid and said application having been approved by the Police and Fire Commissioner, upon motion duly carried, the application was approved, and the Clerk directed to issue a license. The Clerk presented to the Board the application of Stocker Brothers for a license for the operation of three gaming tables; the fee of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) having been paid and said application having been approved by the Police and Fire Commissioner, upon motion duly carried, the application was approved, and the Clerk directed to issue a license. The Clerk presented to the Board the application of Gabriel Lopez for a license for the operation of two gaming tables; the fee of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) having been paid and said application having been approved by the Police and Fire Commissioner, upon motion duly carried, the application was approved, and the Clerk directed to issue a license. The Clerk presented to the Board the application of L. A. Knapp for a license for the operation of two gaming tables; the fee of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) having been paid and said application having been approved by the Police and Fire Commissioner, upon motion duly carried, the application was approved, and the Clerk directed to issue a license. The Clerk presented to the Board the application of C. Aguirre for a license for the operation of two gaming tables; the fee of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) having been paid and said application having been approved by the Police and Fire Commissioner, upon motion duly carried, the application was approved, and the Clerk directed to issue a license. The Clerk presented to the Board the application of A. T. Gilmore and J. W. Horden for a license for the operation of two gaming tables; the fee of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) having been paid and said application having been approved by the Police and Fire Commissioner, upon motion duly carried, the application was approved, and the Clerk directed to issue a license. Upon request of Mr. A. P. Slocum, Engineer for the City, the said Mr. Slocum was authorized and directed to have printed one hundred (100) proposal sheets, such work to be done by the Las Vegas "Review", and paid for by the city. It was ordered upon motion duly made, seconded and carried that the moneys collected by the City Clerk and Municipal Judge for fees and fines respectively, totaling Six Hundred Thirty-Four Dollars and Fifty Cents ($634.50), be apportioned as follows:- To the General Fund, the sum of Two Hundred Fifty-Three Dollars and Eighty Cents ($253.80) To the Police & Fire Fund the sum of Three Hundred Eighty Dollars and Seventy Cents ($380.70) Thereafter, a recess was declared until Saturday, January 5th, 1929, at the hour of three o'clock P. M.
