The convention, which will at- tract delegates from throughout the United States and Canada, is an annual event at which new releases are discussed and plans for the coming year are an- nounced. Leonard Levy, vice president and general manager of Epic, will attend the meetings and is expected to make a number of important announcements con- cerning Epic?╟╓s rising future in the recording business^ On the entertainment side, the program will be headlined by young recording star Bobby Vin- ton, who has amassed an envia- ble list of million sellers, in- cluding his first Gold Record ?╟úRoses Are Red,?╟Ñ which has sold over three million since being released in 1962. Renowned cornetist and trump- consistant long-play album art- ists, will appear, and his seg- ment will be a demonstration in versatility and interpretation. Ronnie David, who has proved a popular drawing card both to live audiences and on record/ may also work in duo with Hack ett as the pair did on a recent release.
