I agree.BBHBfflnj / 1 4 ~ ~ Z - September 1, 1951, which was attended by the Colorado Biver Commission, the Las Vegas Valley Water District, the Commissioners and Mayor of Las Vegas, the County Commissioners, representatives of the Las Vegas and Henderson Chambers of Commerce, representatives of the major lessens at the plant, and other interested persons, Including myself. The meeting mas not encouraging as far as mater for las Vegas Is concerned. An engineering study Is to be made of the needs of present lessees at the plant, with an allowance for future expansion In connection with the defense effort, and if such study shows a surplus of water Mr. Larson Indicated he will contract to sell the to the Las Vegas Valley Water District. It was generally agreed that such surplus would not exceed 10,000,000 gallons per day and that It probably would be less. The Senator emphasized that of any surplus, 4,000,000 gallons per day would be allocated to the Neills Air Base and that the remaining 6,000,000 gallons would be a drop In the bucket If Paradise Valley, Pittman, Whitney and all of the area known as the "strip” were to be served by the Water District. cji.c . m m
