Las Vegas, Nevada November 23, 1931 Mr, J. P. Shaughnessy, Chairman, Public Service Commission of Nevada, Carson City, Nevada, Dear Mr. Shaughnessy: Again taking up the matter of an adjustment in rates covering the service of water in the Wardie Addition to this city. We have reviewed the correspondence on this matter and it appears that, after an exchange of correspondence commencing as far hack as last February or March,.we are still In exactly the same position we were in when we first started. We were first given permission to increase our rates on August 1st, and from month to month since that date your body has deferred that permission. We believe the Commission is neglecting their duty in not giving us a hearing and relief from a situation which is entirely unfair and unreasonable. Under date of October 30th, you promised us a hearing and almost a month has passed with no relief In sight yet. Attention has been called to the fact that we have refused to pay water statements from the Las Vegas Land & Water Company since August. We wish to also add that we have not collected payments from the water users in the tract since on or about thfet date for the reason that we expected a fair adjustment from the p u b l i c Service Commission which, so far, we have not had. We have set all of the facts before you and feel that we have a right to demand relief in the immediate future. Sincerely yours, SOUTH NEVADA LAND & DEVELOPMENT CO. B y H. D. Buziek Resident Agent C O P Y
