So Las Vegas, Nevada Jane 10, 1969 Dear Mr. Freeman Each year the Las Vegas Police Department sends a policeman and police car to California, to accompany three (3) teen-age boys and a new Oldsmobile to participate in a teen-age Mobil Economy Run.. This year from Riverside, California to YoSemite Park and back to Riverside, where there will be a banquet and awards presented. At the dinner we give away any Las Vegas souveniers we may have. The "Run?ǥ is put on by the Police Advisory Council for Car Clubs, Assistance from Mobil Oil Co., California A.A.A. and several smaller lesser known business firms in California. Las Vegas is the only police agency outside the Los Angeles area, and the entry from Las Vegas is a novelty to the California people.
