ICHARD BRYAN NEVADA COMMITTEES: United States Senate WASHINGTON, DC 20510 April 12, 1989 BANKING, HOUSING, AND URBAN AFFAIRS COMMERCE, SCIENCE. AND TRANSPORTATION JOINT ECONOMIC Mr. Dan Newburn, Chairman School Name Committee 2832 E. Flamingo Road Las Vegas, Nevada 89121 Dear Dan, I am writing to lend my support to the efforts to have a school named after longtime civic and community activist, Dorothy Eisenberg. I am pleased and honored to join with my fellow Nevadans who know of Dorothy's work and feel that her outstanding contributions and achievements most certainly qualify her for such recognition. Over the years I have observed with great admiration the competent manner, diligence, and enthusiasm that I believe characterize Dorothy Eisenberg. She is an extraordinary person whose efforts and commitment have been one of the principle determining factors in the success of many civic projects and endeavors. Her accomplishments are many and varied and have earned her the respect and recognition of her friends and fellow citizens. As a community activist for over 25 years, many valuable community organizations and services have known the helping hand of Dorothy Eisenberg. She has served as President of the League of Woman Voters, and has been instrumental in the operation and long range planning efforts of the United Way in Southern Nevada. These are but a few of the projects to which Dorothy has offered her expert assistance. Dorothy Eisenberg is a person who loves her community and her state and is dedicated to the continual improvement of life quality for all of us who call Nevada our home. Her achievements and the honors which she has earned serve as testimony to her commitment to our state and its citizens. We in Nevada are indeed fortunate to have been the recipients of her superior voluntary efforts. I believe the Mrs. Eisenberg is most deserving of this tribute. It gives me great pleasure to support the recommend?ation of Dorothy Eisenberg to the Clark County School Name
