Albright Executive Director October 3, 19bl \0 Vmi: Mr* Al Freeman Chairman of the Promotion Committee Chamber of Commerce Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Al: Confirming our conversation of yesterday, I thought it might be well if I were to state further the understanding and agreement that was reached at the Owners Meeting held September 28. It was agreed that a General Committee would be formed comprised of two Fair Board members, two Hotel owners, two Downtown Club owners, two Chamber of Commerce Directors, and one motel owner. It was further decided that your committee would be asked to be called into session and to discuss among yourselves different agencies that, in your opinion, would be best suited to handle the type of advertising campaign that we have discussed. Certainly we want all local agencies contacted as well as leading out-of-town agencies. We request that your committee review and reduce the number of advertising agencies to three. When this is done, the General Committee will review the thinking of this campaign with these three agencies and with probably three members of your committee to be chosen by the General Committee. After an agency has been chosen by the General Committee, these three members of the Promotion Committee together with the General Committee will review with this agency its thinking and ask them to submit whatever type of media you think we should have. At this time, all local talent will be reviewed. We recognize that there may be some expense attached to this request, and you are authorized to spend up to Si,000.00; invoices to be directed to the Clark County Fair & Recreation Board for payment.
