83DC0NGRESS 2DSESSION S.3332 IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES APRIL 21 (legislative day, APRIL 14), 1954 Mr. McCARRAN introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs A BILL To provide for the conveyance of certain public lands to the city of Henderson, Nevada. 1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives 2 of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 3 That, the Secretary of the Interior is authorized and directed 4 to sell and convey to the city of Henderson, Nevada, in fee 5 simple, except as provided in section 3, the following 6 described lands, including approximately seven thousand and 7 eighteen acres: 8 Township 21 south, range 63 east, section 33, all; 9 Township 22 south, range 62 east, section 2, all; section 10 3, all; section 4, all; section 24, all; 2 1 Township 22 south, range 63 east, section 8, east half; 2 section 17, east half; section 20, east half; section 21, west 3 half; section 28, east half, and northwest quarter; section 30, 4 all; section 31, all; section 32, all. 5 SEC. 2. The Secretary shall sell the lands at a price to 6 be fixed by him through appraisal. The Secretary of the 7 Interior shall not convey the lands to the city unless the 8 city pays the first payment fixed by the Secretary within 9 two years after notification by the Secretary of the price. 10 The balance to be paid in twenty equal installments in 11 amounts and at a time to be determined by a separate agree- 12 ment to be entered into between the Department of the 13 Interior and the city of Henderson, Nevada. 14 SEC. 3.
