I'm proud of my continuing association with these awards which are made to some of the greatest American athletes of all time. They're sponsored by the City of Hope Sportsmen's Club, certainly one of the finest, most dedicated and unselfish organizations it has been my pleasure to work with. For you, our friends watching on television, I think you'll enjoy seeing a stage full of sports and theatrical celebrities such as has seldom been brought together in one place.
