Linden, President Linden Equipment Corporation 1119 South Robertson Blvd. Los Angeles 35, California Bear Hr* Linden, 1 am sorry we have to keep going back and forth on the matter of the prise your wife won for the Dunes in 1955, but 1 would like to bring you up to date on one more point ?╟÷ this prise was given out to your wife before the Sands took over the Dunes ?╟÷ and was awarded by Joe Craydon on a Los Angeles station, working in conjunction with the press agent for the Dunes, Martin Black, When the Sands assumed the lease of the Dunes, X was told about this prise and although the Sands in no way benefited from what promotion was supposed to have been done, we were going to honor it because the Sands works that way, Mr* Black at that time told me he had made a commitment and that he loped the Changeover would not hurt any such obligations, I remember distinctly recommending strongly to our Sands people that we honor this prise, and they okayed it on my word. / ! ^However, X feel4 the situation is way beyond control now and X cannot recommend to the hotel that we still honor this prise given out la a promotion which in no way ever benefited the Sands, nor was contracted by the Sands, verbally or otherwise, X don?╟╓t believe it would be fair to the present Dunes owner, for me to talk to them or to recommend that they award this
