ORONET M .A. G ^ Z I N E NEW YORK CHICAGO OFFICE OF THE EDITOR 488 MADISONAVENUE NEW YORK ?√ß2?·,'WEW YORK PLAZA 9-3232 May 9, 1958 Mr. Al Freeman The Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Al, The piece that we are doing is on gambling generally - not on Las Vegas particularly. In quoting Mr. Cohen, the author treats him as an authority and with?╟╓dignity. The quote makes him seem to be quite a scholar. His quote precedes that of the former head of the New York Academy of Medicine which helps to heighten the scholarly atmosphere. So, I don't think you have to worry that in any way the Sands is injured. In my opinion it is quite the opposite. ?√ßWhen I venture West again, I'll certainly wire you. Cordially, ewis W. Gillenson LWG/cc Carl ?╟÷ this is concerning a story in Cor&net k*% which was brought to my attention by Gillenson, and which he checked for us. The writer is a free-lancer you spoke to named Bergman, I believe ?╟÷ but the quotes are constructive and in a good light. mmmssms?½ Al
