* With the misunderslanding that still seemed to prevail it was requested that a joint meeting of the County Fair and Recreation Boards all Hotel Representatives and the Basket- ball Board be arranged* This meeting was held on Wednesday, September 2nd at Jig GO P*M, in the Las Vegas Convention Center* All of the hotels were not represented at the meeting even though they were extended, by letter, an invitation to be present* The meeting proved to be a very successful one with Mr, Dalits stating that above all, he was interested in having the Tournament held and that the profit go to the United Fund* He stated further that he was in perfect accord with all hotels being contributing sponsors, sharing the $10,000,00 yearly budget, and that they agree to continue their sponsorship each year* The summary result of the meeting was that the County Fair and Recreation Board would purchase the floor, goals and scoreboard at a cost of $18,000*00 and that the hotels all be asked to be contributing sponsors for the $10,000*00 annual budget* It was agreed that it would be desirable to have ten hotels jointly sponsor the Las Vegas Tournament at a cost of $1,000*00 each annually* If ten were not interested then those that were would have to make available annually their proportionate share to provide the $10,000,00 yearly budget. If sufficient interest was not immediately forthcoming, then the Stardust Hotel would sponsor the annual STARDUST INVITATION BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT* By "immediately*8, the County Fair and Recreation Board stated J4.8 hours* As a result of the joint meeting the attached form is being sent to you so that you may indicate whether you care to be an annual contributing sponsor, and if so, to forward your cheek in the amount of $1,000,00 stating further that if ten hotels or clubs are not willing to contribute would you appropriate annually your proportionate share?
