    USE PERMIT - U-40-54 Ruth Blake VARIANCE - V-52-54 Robert Hinkle VARIANCE - V-54-54 John T. Nelson HOUSE MOVING BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, in a regular meeting on the 3rd day of November, 1954, having considered the application of William Stechell for a Use Permit to use his home at 125 Boston to do minor tailoring and alteration work; and The Board having considered the recommendation of the Board of Adjustment approving this application; NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of William Stechell for a Use Permit to use his home at 125 Boston to do minor tailoring and alteration work be approved, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time consideration was given to the application of Ruth Blake for a Use Permit to use a residence at 1614 E. Charleston as offices for doctor, dentist, accountant, music teacher, chiropractor, attorney, insurance agent, photographer's studio. Thereafter Commissioner Sharp moved this application be approved and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, in a regular meeting on the 3rd day of November, 1954, having considered the application of Ruth Blake for a Use Permit to use a residence at 1614 E. Charleston as offices for doctor, dentist, accountant, music teacher, chiropractor, attorney, insurance agent, photographer's studio; and The Board having considered the recommendation of the Board of Adjustment approving this application; NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of Ruth Blake for a Use Permit to use a residence at 1614 E. Charleston as offices for doctor, dentist, accountant, music teacher, chiropractor, attorney, insurance agent, photographer's studio, be approved, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The application of Robert Hinkle to add two dwelling units to an existing single­family residential unit at 1624 West Bonanza was considered at this time. The Board of Adjustment recommended that this application for variance be denied. His Honor asked if there were any objections. None were voiced. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved this application be approved and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, in a regular meeting on the 3rd day of November, 1954, having considered the application of Robert Hinkle for a Variance to add two dwelling units to an existing single-family residential unit at 1624 West Bonanza; and The Board having considered the recommendation of the Board of Adjustment denying this application; NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of Robert Hinkle for a Variance to add two dwelling units to an existing single­family residential unit at 1624 West Bonanza be approved, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the application of John T. Nelson for variance to enclose an existing carport at 1102 Essex Drive was considered by the Board. Commissioner Sharp moved this application for variance be approved and the following resolution adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, in a regular meeting on the 3rd day of November, 1954, having considered the application of John T. Nelson for a Variance to enclose an existing carport at 1102 Essex Drive; and The Board having considered the recommendation of the Board of Adjustment approving this application; NOW, THEREFORE, it is the decision of this Board that the application of John T. Nelson for a Variance to enclose an existing carport at 1102 Essex Drive be approved, and the inspection departments are authorized to issue the necessary permits. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. The request of Arthur Nunez to move a house from 916 South 1st Street to 341-343 North 16th Street was considered at this time. The Board directed that the property owners be notified that this request will be considered at the next regular meeting to be held November 17, 1954. 11-3-54
