X was connected with the City of Reno for approximately a year as Federal Planning Engineer for their Federal project involving the central location of a water ditch which was to run from the State Line above Verdi to Reno, and it involved the Power Company. X did some hydraulic study there. Then in January of 1947—on January 15th—I was recalled to the Base as Planning Engineer, at the Ordnance Depot, and X was with that Base until X came down here last 'November 1st. Q. Other than the experience you have listed, you have not had any other experience in hydraulic englneerlngf A. lot in direct hydraulic engineering. X did earth dam construction in Nebraska in 1939 and 1940, and part of 1933, and I was field engineer, in which it was actual construction. Q. Now, turning to your "Exhibit 1 for Identification", at Page 3, where the meter readings shown there from July 27, 1950, to August 11, 1950, were taken in conjunction with a Water Company employee—the Water Company employee was present? A, Yes, Mr. Belcher, my inspector, and on® at the em­ployees of the Water Company, took these readings jointly, so each of these readings were made a joint operation. Q. And that is true of all other meter readings? A. Yes, sir, to my knowledge, that’s true all the way through. Q. You took no meter readings for the period prior to July 27, 1950? A, lo, sir, X have none, nor my Department, as far as I know
