November 16,1951 MEMO-FOR FILES. R E A L E S T A T E Saw Mr. Jim Young, of the Realty Board, at the County Court House this morning. He asked about the plan to have the Realty Board appraise the real estate owned by the local water utility and wanted by the Water District. Mr. Campbell, previously, had reported that there would be no charge for the appraisal, as the Realty Board considered the appraisal as something they could do in the public interest without making any charge. Mr. Young, re-affirmed this information, that there would be no charge for the appraisal. P.S. Complete information- in so far as possible- has therefore been prepared by me for the use of the appraisers, leaving as little as possible for them to require as supplemental to proceeding on their work. See the maps, etc. HFC Map of all the holdings of the Utility, RR, etc. in Real Estate Outline of the land which the utility considers water bearing land. Diagram of 270 acres which barely surrounds the water producing wells, rt-ways, etc. This minimum area may be enlarged by the Directors when they meet to consider the matter of how much land is required. The value of $100 per acre used by the Public Service Commission is a fact, supported or not.
