For Meter and Meter Box Where Service Connection Installed By Others Size Charge 5/8" x 3/4" $ 27 3/4" 40 1" 70 li" 110 2" 160 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this schedule of charges shall become effective at 8:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 8, 1956, except that the above mentioned former schedules shall continue to apply to service connections for which the installation charge was paid prior to the effective date above, and except that the established charge for meter and meter box shall not be assessed against a subdivider in connection with service connections being, or to be installed, by him on main extensions being, or to be, constructed by him within the subdivision, in accordance with final plans approved by the District prior to the effective date above. The Directors were polled with Directors Campbell, Miller, Thorn, Rosevear and DuBravac voting aye, and Director Coulthard voting no. The resolution was adopted by six affirmative votes. SERVICE CONNECTION STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT The following letter received from W. 0. Wright of the State Highway Department was submitted for consideration by the Board. "Mr. W. C. Renshaw February 7, 1956 Engineer and Manager Las Vegas Valley Water District Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Renshaw: The State of Nevada, Department of Highways is contemplating joining with Mr. V. D. Eachus in the construction of an eight-inch (8") water line on Second Street to connect his property and the Edge View Manor, Las Vegas, Nevada. The extension of one hundred thirty (130) lineal feet of six-inch (6") transite pipe in a westerly direction, then thirty (30) lineal feet of four-inch (4") cast iron pipe in a northerly direction, will connect with out present two-inch (2") service main. In consideration of a two-inch (2") meter installation, at a cost to the Highway Department of $100, the Highway Department will transfer title to the one hundred thirty (130) lineal feet of six-inch (6") transpipe line and the thirty (30) lineal feet of four-inch (4") cast iron pipe line to the Las Vegas Valley Water District, and it being understood that there will be no further refunds for this water line from the Las Vegas Valley Water District.
