1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 Commencing at a connection with existing 6” cast iron water main in Lot 1 of said Block 4 at a point seven (7) feet east of the west line of said Lot 1, thence southerly parallel with the. west line of said Block approximately 410 feet to the south line of Lot 5 of said Block 4* The cost of constructing said water main is the agreed sum of $1,993*00, the expense of which shall he horne by the Owner* 2* Said water main shall he constructed of 8M cast iron pipe and shall he in accordance with AWWA specifications. All joints shall he cement and all pipe shall he new B & S cast iron, equal to AWWA Class 150, All fittings shall he new, all hell cast iron equal to AWWA Class 150, and all valve boxes shall he of cast iron of appropriate size for each valve. Unless otherwise provided by the approval of a duly authorized representative of the Company, all pipes, valves and fittings shall he manufactured by Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company or Mueller Company* All pipe lines shall he chlorinated in accordance with AWWA specifications, shall he subject to the approval and acceptance of State and City Health Authorities, and shall he constructed at a depth to he designated by a duly authorized representative of the Company hut in no event shall there he less than 36" of covering over such water mains. All workmanship, material and the installation of said water main shall he subject to the approval and acceptance by a duly authorized representative of the Company. 3. At Owner's sole cost and expense to survey and accurately stake upon the ground the line along which said water mains are to he laid, and to indicate street and alley grades by appropriate stakes* - 2 -
