I agree.April 24, 1970 Most showmen think they are doing pretty well to celebrate a stage production's second or third birthday. They consider it a landmark when I the show's fifth birthday is reached. Las Vegas1 Stardust Hotel is proudly celebrating the 12th birthday of its "Lido de Paris" revue and is letting the whole world know about it with a year-long celebration. Helping to add lustre to the celebration will be the world premiere of the Lido's glittering 9th edition on May 1. It will receive all the glamor and pagentry befitting its importance as the first French revue on the American theatrical scene. Titled "Pourquoi Pas?", which means "Why Not?", the new Lido show .will be a stunning and worthy successor of its legendary predecessors, ?? which date back to 1958. Producer Frank Sennes, director-choreographer Donn Arden and scenic designer Harvey Warren have devoted many months of hard work in creating the newest chapter in. the exciting history of the opulent French importation. Carrying on the tradition of these show business marvels, "Pourquoi Pas?" will introduce a variety of eye-filling innovations immense in scope and never before attempted on a theatrical stage anywhere in the world.
