Called Evelyn McKenzie re above subject, and was advised the contest will be held this Tfagaegdaty, May 11th, 8:30 P.M. in the Convention Center. I expressed my disxapproval of not being notified that the contest was going to be held early this year, and asked why we weren?╟╓t notified. She advised that upon registration of the float theme, entries were notified of the contest, and advised that as long as we hadn?╟╓t registered a theme, she assumed we weren't going to have a float and thus not have an entrant in the contest. She further advises that points will be taken off floats in the parade judging for those floats without queen contestants She advises a Mr. Jack Haines, Dudley 4-5072, is handling the beauty contest. She is mailing us a registration form for our entrant to complete and return to Jack Haines to be registered for the contest.
