By the time he was four, he had a repetoire of 50 songs, a feat possibly bordering on genius. around Western Iowa and Eastern Nebraska, he picked up one instrument after another. Following his semi-professional proving ground, in civilian and army life, he entered that he was listed as one of the most promising talents of the future in the 1949 Who s Who In the American Colleges and Universities. Following military service and college, Thomas became a professor of music and had his own weekly TV show on Channel 9 in Sioux City, la. He then resumed his band career in the mid-50's, ultimately migrating to the West Coast as lead sideman in various small musical groups. He soon found his way to Las Vegas and to the attention of Louis Prima. This was over five years ago - and he has fallen easily into the intricate arrangements of the latter's exciting band. Raised in a musical family (his father owned a music store and played club dates) And his mastering of each one does not stop with one song (which is a gimmick applied by most) - but he can play an entire book with equal skill on all. Iowa State University and finished his formal training with not one but two degrees - a B?╟?A. and B.M.E.. He became such an outstanding student and versatile musician (straight A's)
