AT RISE: ADAM and all the BROTHERS are gathered DOWNSTAGE RIGHT. ADAM Now youall know where your girls live, right? (The BROTHERS ad lib agreement and excitedly start off) ADAM(contd.) (Stopping them) Whoooaaaaaaa (The BROTHERS return). You know us Pontipees can't be seen in town. So keep outta sight, or you'll end up with .a rifle up your nose. BROTHERS Ad lib agreement: We know Adam, etc. (THE BROTHERS start to run off again) ADAM (stopping them again) Come here. Now like I told ya, you gotta keep your girls quiet gettin* outta town, and especially through the pass, 'cause you know what'll happen if you don't. CALEB We'll have an avalanche down on. us. (ALL ad lib agreement, and the BROTHERS try to run off again) Right! ADAM /.'And remember, no lollygaggin'. The next time you hear the town clock, the wagon's gonna leave, with or without ya.
