Glittering 'Pourqul Pas Qpens At Sjfardust Tonight More than 100 outstanding entertainers from a dozen nations will appear on the stage at the Stardust Hotel in the most glittering edition of the famed "Lido de Paris" production yet introduced to America starting tonight. Titled "Pourquoi Pas/* this ninth all-new revue is expected to reach a pinnacle of per forming perfection, Produced by Frank Sennes and directed and choreographed by Donne Arden in collaboration with French Lido producers Pierre Louis-Guerin and Rene Fraday and Madame Bluebell, the production races with excitement the moment the curtain parts to reveal the primary sequence. It features exquisitely costumed Bluebell Girls, each of whom are multiplied several times via huge, triangular shaped mirrors. The mirrors, covering the entire length of the stage, project the image of a magic necklace of beauties. The show scene shifts to Greece for a breathtaking discovery of a Grecian city that has been buried undersea for centuries. The number opens at the Port of Kykonas, where a small boat puts out to sea. The undersea kingdom is discovered when the boat capsizes and sinks with its occupants. LIDO'S BIG SIX ?╟÷ Donn Arden, extreme right, director-choreographer for the all-new "Pourquoi Pas?" edition of the "Lido de Paris" revue at the Stardust Hotel, discusses the show's Gypsy production number with five members of the stage spectacular's executive staff: From left, Folco, famed costume designer, French Lido producers Pierre Louis-Guerin and Rene Fraday, Madame Bluebell and the Stardust Hotel's producer, Frank Sennes. "Pourquoi Pas?" world premieres May I with all the glamour and pageantry befitting a new Lido edition. It's the 12th birthday for the "Lido de Paris" revuet which has attracted more than 9,000,- 000 showgoers to the Stardust Cafe Continental for its eight previous editions.
