Xour letter of August 22nd In connection with proposed hearing to be held by the Public Service Commission Upon request of the City of Las Vegas that the Commission require the Las Vegas land and Water Company to prooeed Immediately to augment the present water supply to the City of Las Vegas? I talked to Mr. Allard, President of the Commission, who stated he would have Mr. Shamberger at this hearing with the report heretofore prepared by Mr. Shamberger. He stated that he did not know whether the Commission would call Mr. Shamberger or not but assured me he would could call him. be present and we Mr. Allard further advised me that it was his reoolleotion that when Mr. Shamberger made a survey and later prepared his report, it was done In collaboration with a federal engineer who was making a state-wide survey of the water situation in Nevada; that he oould not at that moment recall his name but would secure It and send it to me. He thinks he Is a local Nevada man working for the federal government and it might be that you would desire to give consideration to his employment since he was so closely associated with Mr. Shamberger In making out this report.
